京都市に警報および特別警報が発令された場合_※3、下記の基準により対応いたします。

・午前7時時点で警報_※1および特別警報_※2が発令されている場合は、終日閉院
・開院中に警報および特別警報が発令された場合は、直ちに閉院
・午前7時前に解除された場合は、通常通り開院

※1特別警報とは大雨、大雪、暴風および暴風雪特別警報を指します。
※2警報とは大雨、洪水、大雪、暴風および暴風雪警報を指します。
※3京都市全体に警報が出ていても、平地における予測値が注意報級に留まる場合は、開院とする場合があります。最終判断は理事によって決定され、当ホームページ、関西美術院ＬＩＮＥグループチャットによって発表されます。

If Kyoto city issues an alert or special advisory^*3, the institute will take the following actions:

・If an alert^*1 or special advisory^*2 is issued as of 7:00 am, we close the entire day.
・If an alert^*1 or special advisory^*2 is issued during institute hours, we immediately close.
・If the alert or advisory is lifted before 7:00 am, the institute will open as usual.

*1. A “special advisory” is issued when abnormally heavy rain, heavy snow, strong winds, or blizzard conditions are predicted.
*2. An “alert” is issued when usual heavy rain, flooding, heavy snow, strong winds, or blizzard conditions are predicted.
*3. Even if an alert is issued for Kyoto city as a whole, if the prediction is only cautionary for the flat areas, the institute will sometimes still open. The final decision will be made by the institute director and will be announced on this homepage and by Kansai Bijutsuin’s LINE group chat.
